- Information you provide: When you fill out our contact form or apply for a job, we collect your name, email address, phone number, message or cover letter, and any resume or supporting documents you upload.
- Information collected automatically: When you visit our site, basic request data (page viewed, referrer, country, device type) is recorded by our analytics provider, Fathom Analytics. Fathom is a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide only to:
- Respond to your inquiry or evaluate your job application.
- Communicate with you about the project, position, or service you contacted us about.
- Notify our team internally (via our private Basecamp account) when a new submission is received.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
How Your Information Is Stored
Form submissions and applications are stored securely in our self-hosted database. Resumes and any uploaded files are stored alongside the submission. Only authorized MacCo Builders staff have access to this data.
Bot and Spam Protection
Our forms use standard bot-protection techniques, including a hidden honeypot field, timing checks, and optionally Cloudflare Turnstile verification. These help us filter out automated submissions; no personal data is sent to any third party as part of spam prevention beyond what Cloudflare receives when verifying that you are a human.
Cookies
Our site uses the minimum cookies necessary to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If you sign in to the site as a MacCo Builders staff member, a session cookie is used to keep you signed in.
Data Retention
We retain contact-form and application data for as long as it is relevant to our business relationship or hiring process. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us.
Your Rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you have provided to us. To make a request, email us at info@maccobuilders.com.
Children’s Privacy
Our site is intended for business use and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
